Procreate’s huge release, motion design magic from the upside down, and corporate media giants go to war.

Procreate Dreams 2 just dropped with an entirely new animation engine for only 13 bucks, and it's a love letter to hand-drawn animation in an AI-saturated world. Motion designer Eric Deci finally broke down the iconic Stranger Things title sequence after nearly a decade, revealing all the nitty-gritty compositing details that make it work so well.

Meanwhile, the ad industry is going through massive upheaval as Omnicom acquires Interpublic Group in a 25 billion dollar deal that's resulting in over 4,000 layoffs and the folding of legendary agencies like DDB. We're also covering Netflix and Paramount's bidding war over Warner Brothers and McDonald's Netherlands deleted AI Christmas disaster.

We’ll check out the Rive and Contra challenge winners including an absolute genius named Afeez Yunus and VUCKO's gorgeous Google Cloud Summit design system. Also we're testing out the new AI features in Photoshop and Figma to see if they actually work as advertised. Finally we’ll look at how our School of Motion Student of the Week Ameena absolutely crushed her Cinema 4D lighting assignment.

⚡️ New Course: UX Animation Essentials

We are excited to release UX Animation Essentials, where you’ll learn to transform static interfaces into engaging experiences using industry-standard UX motion tools. You'll work through a realistic music app project from kickoff call to developer handoff, learning not just how to animate interfaces, but why certain motion choices solve specific user problems.

You’ll also get introduced to the strategic toolkit - Figma for rapid prototyping, After Effects for polished assets, ProtoPie for gesture-based interactions, and Rive for runtime animation - while also learning when to reach for each tool, how to speak the language of product teams, and how to spec your work so engineers can build it.

Please Note:UX Animation Essentials is included as a part of our All-Access and Team Training programs.
